【摘要】:Thetestmaybeusedtoindicatecompositionalcharacteristicsofemulsifiedasphalt.Evaporationresiduemayalsobesubjectedtoothercharacterizationtests.Thistestmethodforresiduebyevaporationtendstogiveanasphalticresiduelowerinpenetrationandductilitythanthedistillationtestmethod(D6997).Materialmaybeacceptedbutshallnotberejectedasfailingtomeetspecificationscontainingrequirementsfordeterminationofresiduebydistillation,ondataobtainedbyevaporation.Ifresiduefromevaporationfailstomeettherequirementsforpropertiesspecifiedforresiduefromdistillation,testsshallbererunusingthedistillationtestmethod.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthequantitativedeterminationofresidueinemulsifiedasphaltscomposedprincipallyofasemisolidorliquidasphalticbase,water,andanemulsifyingagent.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
